Ultrasounds, Indians, and Ear Infections...

Hello Bloggers!!! As always, things are never dull around our house!! Last Friday I had another ultrasound, and everything looked great. Grayson was a little wiggle worm...he was also fairly cooperative with the "camera." This week has been NUTS at school because we had our 5th grade play, and progress reports went out. We've been busy little beavers!! Caden had his Thanksgiving Party on Thursday morning, and then at 9:30 or so the school secretary came upstairs to tell me that Caden was running 102 fever...FABULOUS!!! So, Mom was able to come and get him. He had gotten his flu shot the day before, so I didn't know if it might be connected to that. The doc said to bring him in if he was still running fever in 24 hours. Well, of course he was still running fever Friday morning, so my parents took him to the doc for me. He has his first ear infection!! WOO-HOO!! It's another thing to add to sweet Caden's list. Right now he's sleeping peacefully...maybe tonight he's feeling well enough to sleep the night through. He's such a trooper!!!! I LOVE THAT KIDDO!!! Ok...time for pics...

You can tell he's starting to not feel too well...

Things you NEVER want to hear the doctor say...

Well...Monday Caden woke up wheezy, so I made an appointment for him. By the time we got to see the doctor, things had gone from bad to worse. The doctor came in the room, listened to Caden, and then said, "Get back in your car and go to the ER at UMC. I think you can get yourself there faster than I can get you there in an ambulance." WHAT!!! So, that's what we did, and that started our 2 day stay at the hospital. The docs were FABULOUS! It was very reassuring to have a doc that we knew...we were actually discussing blogs in the ER with Brad...THANKS BRAD!!! We came home Wednesday at lunch, and now Caden is slowly recovering. He's doing well, but he does not like to be slowed down by anything, so he wears out very quickly. I'm sure he'll be back to himself soon!!
I go back to the doctor tomorrow for another ultrasound. I'm excited to get another glimpse of Grayson. He's moving around like crazy now...It's nice to know he's there and doing well!

Time to catch up on PICS!!!

Well, this post is going to be LOTS of pics!! I have no idea how to upload more than 5 at a time, so excuse the wacky order. We're all doing well. Caden is BUSY BUSY BUSY...I was actually just getting ball point pen ink out of a chair (if you need stain removal advice, I'm the QUEEN!). Grayson is moving around all of time...I LOVE it!!! I have another ultrasound on Friday to check on him again. I'll try to figure out how to scan in the pics, but don't hold your breath because it's MISTLETOE week!!! It will be a quite hectic week for all!!!

A day with doctors...

The Porter children have been keeping the doctors in our area in business today. We started this morning with Grayson's fetal echo. Everything looked pretty good! There was one questionable spot on his heart, but the doctor seemed quite confident that it would resolve itself by birth, so I'm taking her word on that! Well Frank and I were having that done, Caden was at my grandmother's house throwing up. So...this afternoon I took Caden to the doctor, and apparently he has some kind of stomach virus (duh!). We were told to come back if it wasn't better in a couple of days. So...we shall see!!

Random Pics...

Ok...here are some VERY RANDOM pics. I felt bad for not blogging in over a week, so I decided to give you all a little something. I should have some pics coming soon since we have Fall Fest at church tomorrow...that promises some priceless pictures! Caden is going to be a monkey this year for Halloween (although I think he looks more like an Ewok).
Here's Caden at 1 Day old. Hard to imagine that I'll be back in that hospital bed in just a few more months!!!Are we goobers or what!!!! This is the look of 2 people saying, "2 kids under 2...what were we thinking???" BRING IT ON!!!!

It's A....

BOY!!!!

Grayson Lane was not shy at all today during our ultrasound. He was a little wiggle worm!!! We will have another ultrasound in 4 weeks because he was still a little small for some of the measurements, but everything looked great! He weighed in at a whopping 8 ounces!

Homecoming Parade...

**Side Note...Big Ultrasound is tomorrow!! Pray for a HEALTHY baby!!**
Tonight we went to the NWR Homecoming parade. Frank is escorting my cousin, Anna, who is a senior maid this year. It was great fun...complete with firetrucks, horses, the band, floats, and (only in Rankin County) 4 wheelers! Caden did really well. He probably doesn't remember it, but he was at the parade last year...and the year before in my belly! Frank found a 1965 Mustang convertible to use in the parade and for the game tomorrow night. Let me just tell you, he was in HEAVEN!!!!!
Here's my little man "kicked back" in his stroller...
Ah, the dream car! (Oh, and Anna too!!!)

I think they were all having fun!

Everybody loves a parade!!
