Babies on Parade...

As I said yesterday, my child LOVES school! As a matter of fact, my child LOVES LIFE!!! Everyday at school they go for a wagon ride. This is a picture of the kiddos out for their ride today. These are all of the kids in the teacher nursery (minus one sweet baby who was sleeping). Notice the look on the faces of all the other children, and then look at my child's face. He is smiling and waving like he is in the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade!! I LOVE THAT KID!!!!!

Horrible Blogger!!!

Hello, my name is Emily, and I have been a HORRIBLE BLOGGER!!
I don't know if it's school starting back, being pregnant, or a combo of the two, but I'm going to try and do a better job of blogging.
Sorry there are no pics...I have a scanned ultrasound pic to show, but I have no idea how to make it work!! I guess I'm just not that computer savvy yet!! Tonight it Back to School Night, and I have actually done a Power Point (all by myself) to share with my parents. Hopefully the SmartBoard and I will get along for the evening.
Updates...Caden is LOVING the nursery here at school. It is such a blessing to know that he is happy, loved, and cared for all day. I think he is already trying to become the teacher's pet! The new baby is growing like a weed. I'm starting to think that it is a girl for 2 reasons: 1. When I saw the ultrasound, the heart was racing (women in my family tend to be a touch on the high strung side), and 2. My blood pressure is already rising...only a girl would already have my blood pressure going up! I truly don't care whether we have a boy or a girl...each one has their own benefits.
Please go to LandLife and share in Jeff and Abbey's joy as they are just 2 weeks away from going to Taiwan to pick up their precious little boy, Reed. It has been such a journey for them, and they have been a true testimony of God's faithfulness the whole time!!

A year ago this week...

...Caden had his heart cath. I can't believe it's already been a year!! For those of you who don't know, last August, Caden had a balloon valvuloplasty (sp??) of his aortic valve. This was to help open up his Aortic Valve. It was also to help us avoid open heart surgery for a little while. It worked beautifully!! God used some wonderful doctors to help Caden's valve last a little longer. We went to his cardiologist 2 weeks ago, and his valve is still looking GREAT!!! In fact, there have been no changes since last August...this is AWESOME!! Dr. B even said that if he continues progressing in the same manner, we may be able to put of surgery until junior high or so! His advice was to get him a nice set of golf clubs early...Yea non-contact/strenuous sports!! Thank you to all of you who have prayed for our precious baby since his birth...the prayers are OBVIOUSLY working! God is so good!!
Here's me holding Caden while waiting for the first anesthetics to take effect...
About an hour after the procedure...

Baby Jail...

Drugs are good!

Poor baby...that looks painful!

I LOVE my job!!!

Not many teachers have Spartan Cheerleaders on the first day of school!!!
Today was our first day back to school...it was a retreat day for the staff. It was FABULOUS!!!!! I am so blessed to work for and with such a wonderful administration. We were even taken to lunch in limos! And to top the day off, I won a free day off!!! WOO-HOO!! I know that will definitely come in handy this year!! Today was also Caden's first day in the nursery at school. He had a great time! He cried when I left him, but he does that anytime he's left in a nursery. When I came back to get him this afternoon, he was already in LOVE with his teacher...he didn't want to leave with me! He even took a nap on a MAT today...what a big boy!!! Then after school, Caden and I went up to St. Dominic's Hospital to see my grandmother (mom's mom). She has some kind of something on Wednesday night. At first they thought asthma, then a heart attack. She had a heart cath this morning, and her heart looks good (which is great!). Just pray that the doctors are able to figure out what is going on with her...I know she must be scared!
