Yea!!! Bunny Pics!!!

Last Friday, I took the boys to have their pics taken with bunnies. Monique did a fabulous job!!! The mere fact that Caden is acutally IN any of these pictures should tell you that she is awesome...he wasn't really "in to" sitting still that day (imagine that!). Here are some of my faves:
This is my favorite of the 2 boys together...Sweet bunnies...Caden called them puppies.

Sweet baby Grayson...

Who's there???Looks like he's gonna stomp the poor bunny!

He didn't quite understand what he was to do with the carrot.

LOVE this one!!! Not sure why, but I think it's super cute.

Here bunny bunny!!

This is TOTALLY a Paul Fryant expression. Those of you who know him will agree.

Grayson's Weigh-In...

We went to the doctor yesterday, and Grayson passed his weight check with flying colors...
Birth: 6 lbs. 8 oz.
2 days (&4 days): 6 lbs. 2oz.
2 weeks: 6 lbs. 12 oz.
5 weeks: 9 lbs. 0 oz.
Way to go, Grayson!!! We are very pleased that his weight gain has picked up...it's always good to have a healthy report to share!!
Frank and I were talking the other day about how nice it is (and a bit odd for us) taking Grayson to the doctor because the last thing they say to us is that they will see us at our next well visit. With Caden, it was always, "Now when do you see the cardiologist again???" Praise God for healthy babies!!!

Loads of Pics...

Not much new to report around here, but I thought I would update with some pics. We did get a new dishwasher, so that was fun...For the first time, the dishes are actually clean when they come out of the dishwasher!!! And Caden can now chew up a pill. This would not be that big of a deal, but for the last year I have been crushing up his Singular and dumping it down his throat, but tonight I gave him the whole pill to see what would happen. He chewed it up like a champ!! I was so proud! Now, without further ado, pics:
The boys' Easter baskets...
The logistics of bathtime at our house...It gets very interesting because Caden sees it as his duty to get the entire bathroom wet.
Sweet Grayson...look at how LONG he is!!!
Ooo...I'm so cold!!
Caden after the bath...
Sweet feet...
Caden really enjoyed his Spring Break. It meant that we got to go to the park several time. Here he is with Honey pushing him in the swing...
Going down the slide...
In the "big boy" swing...
Here is Grayson enjoying the park...I promise he's under there!! It was windy, so I made him a tent. Notice the double stroller...very cool!!
Next park...fun curvy slide...
And another swing...this time Cousin Courtney is pushing with Aunt Joy in front (they came all the way from Dallas just to take me to the park!!!)...sorry y'all aren't really in the pic!!
We go to the doctor on Thursday to have a weight check for Grayson...I'll keep ya posted on how the little one is growing. I know you will all be anxiously waiting to hear!!! :)

Help me with a camera...

Ok...If you are reading this and have a camera that you love, PLEASE comment and tell me about it. We have a little Cannon Powershot Camera that is fabulous for throwing in the diaper bag for quick candids, but it is a few years old, and I am wanting to upgrade. I'm still going to use that one to keep in my purse/diaper bag, but I would like a bigger camera to take nice pics of the boys. So basically, I'm looking to upgrade. I've looked at the Nikon D40 and the Cannon Rebel XTi, but I'm definitely open to any suggestions. Please give me your input...even if we've never met...I need help with this one!!
Thanks Bloggers!!!
I'll keep you updated with what we decide on.

Edited to add: Do I need 10 Megapixels or would I be fine with just 6???

Let's hear it for the boys...

WARNING: Mushy Post Ahead!!
May I just say that God has blessed me so very far beyond my imagination that I just can't wrap my brain around it!! I have 3 incredible boys in my life that He is letting me be blessed by everyday. They are all His creations, and I am so humbled that He has allowed them to be a huge part of my life...I praise Him for these boys daily. So, without further ado, here they are...
Here is what Grayson and I spend a large portion of our day doing...My sweet Grayson Lane...He is a precious little one. So tiny!! We laugh and call him our "little old man." He always grunts and groans...no cute little baby noises for him!

And my 2 bigger boys. These 2 DEFINITELY make me smile each and everyday!!!

Look at those blue eyes...little girls watch out for this heart breaker!! (Of course, you'll have to get past his mama first!!) He is so cute at this age. Every time we get out the camera, he turns and says, "Cheese!!" So cute!

And what is there to say about this one??? My sweet sweet husband!! I know that he loves me more than words can describe, and I hope he knows that the feeling does not go unreturned. He is truly my very best friend!

Birthday Pictures...

Yesterday was my little man's second birthday. We taught him to say "Two!" when asked how old he is...it's really cute!! We haven't done a big party yet because of little brother's arrival, but we had a birthday lunch with my parents yesterday...here are some of the pics from the day (and beyond):
Caden doesn't really like icing (like his Mommy!!), so Mom made him cookies and put a candle on top...he LOVED it!!

Oh Boy!!! COOKIES!!!

This candle looks like it could be tasty...

Yummy cookies...

Family Photo...

Here's Grayson all dressed up for the occasion...

Caden doesn't understand why we have a chair that he doesn't fit in, so he puts his stuffed animals in it instead...whatever works!

The napping beauties...

This is what my days consist of (and the only sense of order in them!)...Sippy cups, bowls, medicine droppers, bottles, and nebulizer cups (ps-if you have kids and don't know what on earth a nebulizer cup is, say "Thank you, Jesus for healthy lungs!").

Doctor Days are here again...

First of all, let me just say it is SOOO COLD outside!!! Today was my first day to be able to drive and have no activity restrictions (i.e. picking up Caden!), so I felt like a bird let out of the cage. We started the day by taking Caden to school...it was great to get to see some of my teacher buddies!!
Then Frank and I took Grayson to see Dr. Flowers for his 2 week appointment. Everything looked great with my little bird legs!! For those of you who know (or at least can conjure up a good visual image of) Frank and I, you will find the following percentile rankings of our child quite humorous:
Weight: 6 lbs. 12 oz. : 8th percentile
Length: 20 1/4 inches: 95th percentile
Whose child is this???? LOVE IT!
Then as the day wore on, it was time for Frank to report in to work. This weekend is the youth garage sale, so it is QUITE busy for sweet Frank! When the time arrived, I went to pick Caden up from school. We got in the van and I noticed that he was still doing the wheeze/cough thing he'd been doing the night before, and I didn't like it one bit. So, I called the doctor, and I was told that there were no appointments and to call the after hours clinic. I hung up the phone and thought, "No, he needs to be seen." So I called back...for those of you who know me, you know that this is SOOO not me!! I am a rule follower, and I don't like to be the exception...but I did not want to end up in the hospital like we did in November when we has this very same cough. I talked to the nurse, and she said that Dr. Flowers would work us in...FABULOUS!!! Caden is now on his 3rd 10 day round of antibiotics in a row, oral steroids, and breathing treatments every 3 hours...even through the night. No sleep for Em tonight, but that's totally okay...my babies are definitely worth it!!
I saw this on another blog, and absolutely fell in love with this song. It just really speaks to my heart, and I wanted to share it with my blog readers. I pray that you will all (if you haven't already) find that same hiding place!!

Pics of the boys...

As promised...here are some more pics of the boys. I know that no one thinks that they are as cute as I do, but just humor me and enjoy!! :)
"Yea, Mommy can't pick me up, so I get to eat breakfast in the den!"This was today's new adventure...the swing. I think he liked it, but he'll pretty much sleep anywhere!

Cheesy grin while modeling his big brother button from the hospital.

My little old man being burped...

Caden likes to come in and check to see if the baby is still in the basket. He even stood guard while he watched Mickey on TV.

"Hey Mom, it's moving!"

Uncle Paul with Grayson.

He almost fits in Paul's hand...so teeny!!!

Both of my babies back under one roof!!

We've had quite an interesting week (sorry no pics...I'll add some later!). I guess it all started on Monday when our huge mirror fell off the wall above the mantle. It knocked everything off the mantle in the process and many things were broken...including the tile in front of the fire place! Keep in mind this mirror has been hanging there for at 3 years! Oh well! Then on Tuesday, Frank came down with some kind of stomach bug and was running fever, so I packed up the boys and we headed to my parents' house to try and avoid getting fever. This was after my grandmother took Grayson and I back to the hospital for his 2 day check up and we were stopped as we were leaving because they thought we were stealing a baby! As we were finishing dinner that night, their electricity went out...seriously! It came back a couple of hours, and the night went on as usual. Wednesday, when Mom and I picked Caden up from school, he had a fever. It kept getting higher, so my parents took him to the after hours clinic that night. He still had a lingering ear infection, so I had Frank come and get Grayson and I so we wouldn't get that fever! Caden just couldn't seem to beat this fever...he's been to the UMC ER twice since Wednesday!! But after his final dose of IV antibiotics on Saturday, he got to come home! I missed him SO much! It was wonderful to have both of my boys at home today. Caden is doing really well with the baby. As I'm typing this entry, they are both sound asleep in their own beds. We are so so so very blessed...I cannot imagine a greater gift than these sweet boys!
